Strong Prior Art for 80% of SEPs can be found in Standard Contribution Documents
We utilize an extensive and detailed set of information submitted during the standardization process to carry out the prior art searches for our clients
We understand that patent searches are often not enough to invalidate SEPs. It’s an art, and one has to develop a unique strategy for each case.
To overcome this challenging task, we have developed an in-house comprehensive database that includes a variety of non-patent literature (NPL) documents, such as meeting materials, meeting reports, email discussions, all versions of standards, and contribution documents submitted to standard-setting organizations (SSOs).
It covers major SSOs such as 3GPP, ETSI, JVET, 802.11, IETF, IEEE, JCT-VC, MPEG, ISO, and various other SSO bodies.
Our team leverages this tool, which simplifies the process of prior art identification, providing accurate and quick results, ensuring a comprehensive search.
Our team maintains an updated database by continuously monitoring the reports and documents published by various SSOs. This allows our search results to include every single document check to date.
